Diya Gangopadhyay

I am a User Experience professional, currently working as a User Experience Designer at Manhattan Associates in Atlanta. I am involved in designing the interfaces of the supply chain software solutions using a user centric process to ensure better user experience.

I graduated from the Master of Human Computer Interaction program at Carngie Mellon in 2009 and worked with T-Mobile USA for about six months as a Usability Analyst.

I feel privileged to have worked in domains as diverse as Machine Learning, Natural language, Intelligent Tutoring Systems and Online Communication in a short span of my stay here. These experiences have deepened my understanding and enthusiasm for HCI and user centric design and I am particularly interested in the application of cutting edge technology to get machines to act “human-like”.

My undergraduate studies in the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, a premier technical institute, with a Bachelor degree in Design had motivated me to explore the domain of HCI.
One of the challenges I have faced in my projects so far are getting technology, in particular mobile technology to interact with non mainstream users in a naturalistic way.

Besides, I enjoy music and blogging. Some of my blog entries that might interest you are:
